About the Journal
The Chittagong University Journal of Arts and Humanities (ISSN 1993-5536) is a peer-reviewed journal. Notably, it is a referred journal with high impact. It is published as a half yearly journal. It covers all disciplines in arts and humanities and always strives to be a platform for academicians, new researchers, authors, and Arts & Humanities scholars. It is published twice a year containing two volumes with papers written in Bengali, English, Arabic and Persian languages. It welcomes articles which deploy inter-disciplinary and comparative research methods. The Chittagong University Journal of Arts and Humanities specialises in the publication of longer monographic essays based on path-breaking new research; it carries substantial synoptic essays which illuminate the state of the broad field in fresh ways.

সম্পাদকীয়
কলা ও মানববিদ্যা অনুষদ জার্নালের ৩৮তম সংখ্যাটি অনলাইন সংস্করণসহ প্রকাশিত হলো। এ সংখ্যায় বাংলা, ইংরেজি ও আরবি ভাষায় রচিত মোট ২২টি প্রবন্ধ স্থান পেয়েছে। প্রবন্ধগুলোর বিষয়বস্তু অত্যন্ত বৈচিত্র্যময়। এখানে ইতিহাস, সমাজ ও সংস্কৃতি, ভাষা ও সাহিত্য, দর্শন, ধর্মতত্ত্ব ইত্যাদি নানা বিষয়ে প্রবন্ধগুলো রচিত হয়। এটি গবেষকদের বহুমাত্রিক মননশীলতা ও আগ্রহের পরিচয় বহন করে।
জার্নাল প্রকাশের উদ্দেশ্য হলো জ্ঞান চর্চা ও গবেষণাকে উৎসাহিত করা। এটি শিক্ষকদের গবেষণালব্ধ জ্ঞানকে প্রকাশ ও বিতরণের সুযোগ করে দেয়, যা অ্যাকাডেমিক পরিমন্ডলে নতুন ধারণা ও চিন্তার উন্মোচনে সহায়তা করে। অনলাইন সংস্করণ চালু হওয়ায় বিশ্বের যেকোনো প্রান্ত থেকে আগ্রহী পাঠকগণ প্রবন্ধগুলো পাঠ করার সুযোগ পাচ্ছেন।
জার্নাল প্রকাশের ক্ষেত্রে সম্পাদনা পরিষদের সম্মানিত সদস্যবৃন্দ যথাযথ সহযোগিতা করেছেন। তাঁদের পরামর্শ অনুযায়ী প্রবন্ধ প্রকাশের প্রক্রিয়া অনুসরণ করা হয়েছে। সম্পাদনা পরিষদের সদস্যবৃন্দ এবং প্রবন্ধ মূল্যায়ন সংশ্লিষ্ট বিশেষজ্ঞ সদস্যদের সহযোগিতার জন্য তাঁদের ধন্যবাদ জানাই।
যথেষ্ট সতর্কতা সত্ত্বেও কিছু মুদ্রণ প্রমাদ রয়ে গেছে। এ জন্য আমি সম্পাদনা পরিষদের পক্ষ থেকে দুঃখ প্রকাশ করছি।
